Cencosud, one of the largest retail conglomerates in Latin America, launched its Christmas campaign with immersive experiences for consumers visiting shopping malls in Argentina. This year, due to the pandemic, they could not count on the presence of Santa Claus to take the classic photo with the children. However, since customers so look forward to this action, Cencosud sought to provide them with a virtual version of the experience. That’s why they collaborated to develop a 360° Christmas web experience for each of their 16 shopping malls, where customers could take a photo with an augmented reality animation of Santa Claus, play a treasure hunt for gifts, and participate in a gift card contest.
